A chillum is a smoking pipe originating in India and used by Indian Sadhu holy men in a social and ritual nature to smoke cannabis. Its usually a conical pipe made from clay, a cows horn, or glass, stone, or even wood.
In a Hindu Ceremony various praises to Shiva will be chanted such as Boom Shankar and the chillum will be passed to the person on the right, except for Kali chillums which are passed to the left.
