A chillum is a smoking pipe originating in India and used by Indian Sadhu holy men in a social and ritual nature to smoke cannabis. It's usually a conical pipe made from clay, a cow's horn, or glass, stone, or even wood.
In a Hindu Ceremony various praises to Shiva will be chanted such as "Boom Shankar" and the chillum will be passed to the person on the right, except for Kali chillums which are passed to the left.
Each Chillum has a chillum stone which sits inside the pipe, there is no need for gauzes or tips and they produce a nice smoke, free from addictive tabacco and providing direct and cold hit.
