Each Black and Gold Anubis is made from resin, finished in black and gold paint with a high sheen.

Anubis, was the God the Ancient Egyptians believed, would protect the dead on their journey to the afterlife. He was usually portrayed as a human with a Jackal's Head, or in full jackal form wearing a ribbon round his neck. The black colour of Anubis is representative of rotting flesh and the black soil of the Nile Valley, symbolizing rebirth.
